This past July, residents in Seattle were invited to neighborhood meetings to help the Department of Neighborhoods and Department of Planning and Development develop and update the neighborhood plans for the city. While this process focused on areas that had light rail stations, the departments were also interested in the status of other neighborhoods based against the 1990s vision. Sustainable Seattle encouraged residents to take part in these meetings and to voice the importance of sustainability on the neighborhood level. An online survey was available – Sustainable Seattle then provided sustainability-minded answers to these.
There are two ways you can participate NOW.
1. You can attend a meeting in your neighborhood, held throughout July.
2. You can submit your thoughts via on on-line survey.
